Inspiration

Inspiration

Written by Dave Gannaway

Inspiration and intuition are topics rarely talked about. The reason could be the human frailty, fear of ridicule or rejection. This may be one reason businessmen, entrepreneurs and inventors seldom talk about how inspiration comes to them. I have a friend who is inspired as he listens and relaxes to the lapping of the waves against beach. He has achieved many amazing insights yet does not reveal their sources for fear of ridicule or being labeled a lazy SOB!

Elias Howe, inventor of the sewing machine struggled to find a solution to make his idea work. He awoke from a dream where natives were dancing around him with spears, he noticed that their spears all had holes near their tips. That dream brought the solution to his problem, a needle with the hole through the tip!

The tune and inspiration for the successful pop song ‘Yesterday’ came to Paul McCartney in a dream. “I woke up with a lovely tune in my head,” he said. “Because I had dreamed it, I couldn’t believe I had written it. I’d never written anything that good before. It was the most magic thing!”

Some great inventers were conscious of how their intuition worked and dared to move beyond what was ordinary. Addressing new ways to do things the Matrix faithfully shot back ideas the observers could apply, often creating world shattering changes. The gift you must develop is how to think ‘out-of-the-box’, not new ways to do old things, but new ideas and concepts.

Think of the genius of Nicola Tesla — of being able to imagine that an energy existed that could be created free, that the whole world could benefit from. (The details of this was stolen from him and denied to the world!) It was Tesla inspiration that conceived AC electricity, and was first harnessed the mighty power of Niagara Falls to create electricity. So many laughed and thought him nuts that he struggled to get financing to do it.

Many such stories abound the history books. Imagine conceiving the idea of the computer, the Internet, the petrol engine, the sewing machine and thousands more. Small things to all need to be conceived and created into this world. All are important and the Matrix provides for all equally.

Those who access ideas often keep them a secrets for various reasons — one is that people will often laugh at them. Anything beyond what is the ‘normal’ can raise eyebrows and ridicule. When you have honed your imagination to visualize ideas never before known, and then let the mighty power of the Matrix provide the details, you have connected with the infinite.

Remember the words of the Gershwin song,

They all laughed a Christopher Columbus when he said the world was round, They all laughed when Edison recorded sound! They all laughed at Wilber and his Brother when they said that man could fly, They all said Marconi Wireless was a phony; It’s all the same old cry…

All these things that were once laughed at, the world now take for granted, all originate from a fertile mind that dared to imagine, and the one all-knowing Intelligence we call the divine Matrix filled-in the details.
